NPC.GiveQuest() is a game submitted for the GMTK GameJam 2023.

NPC.GiveQuest() is a game about the often forgotten heroes of the RPG world - the NPC's. It's up to you to forge the path and curate adventures for out brave new heroes. So be creative! But you best keep up your A-game, because I hear the developer is ready to make cuts.

This is my first solo submission to a game jam - I hope you like it! 

There are some bugs you can force if you go looking, but I'll just consider them fair game for those of you with a destructive nature.

How to Play

Your goal is to make it through a new RPG's beta week, serving as a Quest Giver for the many lands. Build quests by dragging cards with left click and releasing them over the adventurer. Submit the quest to confirm! Your reputation will change based on the quality of your quests, so stay vigilant or you might just get patched out.

Pay attention to the end of day patch notes for potential new rules or stipulations you'll need to follow.

You can access the pause menu by pressing Esc.

I'm a unity dev myself and it was Amazing! I did find one bug though: When it removes some quest options from the game it repeated "Hell Spawn" twice. I know it probably uses a list so it would I think it has a chance to repeat any quest options. Other then that I have a few Ideas if you are continuing development: You could slowly introduce players (By that I mean the people playing your game not the people in the game (; ) to new features, While I did get the new features quickly I think the game could benefit from introducing the players them at a slower pace and announcing what has changed.
